Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Premier League side Arsenal are preparing an offer for Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer, according to reports.

The Gunners have already spent over £200m this summer with the signings of Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber but there are rumours Mikel Arteta isn’t done in the transfer market yet.

They are currently looking to offload a number of squad and fringe players with Auston Trusty the latest player to leave after a completing a move to Sheffield United.

Arsenal are looking to raise money for more incomings with technical director Edu submitting a bid for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya this week.

Another rumour currently doing the rounds is the possibility that they will try for Napoli winger Kvaratskhelia after his impressive performances last term.

The Georgia international contributed 14 goals and 14 assists in 43 matches in Serie A and the Champions League last term with his displays attracting admiring glances.

And now Spanish publication Nacional claims Arsenal are prepared to ‘storm’ the transfer market for Kvaratskhelia as Arteta is ‘not satisfied’ at three new arrivals.

Arteta has made a ‘request’ that the Gunners make a bid for the 22-year-old as he looks to form a ‘scandalous trident’ of Kvaratskhelia, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal have now ‘joined the auction’ with Newcastle United and Chelsea also credited with interest and the Gunners are ready to put €100m ‘on the table’ for the winger.

Kvaratskhelia’s ‘wish is to play for Real Madrid one day’ but Los Blancos president Florentino Perez ‘did not contemplate this option’ as he’s looking to bring in Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

A report in Italian newspaper Il Mattino claimed earlier this week that Kvaratskhelia has become ‘irritated’ and ‘annoyed’ by talk that he could join Arsenal this summer.

The Georgian is not thinking about leaving Napoli anytime soon, according to the publication, after helping Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years.

German football expert Christian Falk claims the race for Brentford’s Raya is “now completely open again” after the Spaniard changed agents.

Falk wrote in his Caught Offside column: “At Brentford, it will be interesting to see whether their goalkeeper swaps his jersey for that of Bayern. Fali Ramadani is the new agent of David Raya as of this week. Why is that significant? Ramadani is an old acquaintance of Bayern Munich because he is also the agent of Leroy Sané.

“The race for Raya is now completely open again. It has already been reported in England that Arsenal have agreed a contract with the goalkeeper, but there is still no agreement between the two clubs.

“That agreement is also valid for 2024 when the Spain international will become a free agent, but a decision for this summer is yet to be made. At this stage, Brentford’s asking price is too high.

“However, with only one year left on his contract with the West London club, the Spaniard can choose his new club in the summer of 2024. Due to his contractual situation, any loan deal would only make sense if Raya would extend at Brentford.”
